About ClipCost Index

ClipCost Index compares what AI video generators give you per dollar. For each plan we record the price, monthly credits, the credits a reference model costs per second, max resolution and clip length, watermark, commercial-use rights and whether credits expire.

How we check

• We read each vendor's own pricing and help pages and record the URL and date checked next to every tool.
• Some pages only load with JavaScript; for those we note that we read the vendor text through a search index ("search-snippet") or a third-party summary, and mark figures from third parties as unverified.
• A script re-downloads every source page and flags text that changed. We review flagged changes by hand before editing the data, then log them in the changelog.
• Seconds per dollar = (monthly credits ÷ credits per second of the reference model) ÷ monthly price. It's a best case: it assumes you use every credit and never re-roll a clip.
• If we couldn't confirm something, it says unverified. We don't fill gaps with guesses.
